Prisoners Justice Day Punk Show
Sunday, August 7 at 8 PM – 11 PM. Brasserie Beaubien, 73 Beaubien E. Between sets, members of the Termite Collective will share the history of Prisoners Justice Day, which is on August 10th. PJD is a day when folks in prison, and friends and family on the outside, commemorate people who have died in prison. Queer Between the Covers
August 13th, 11am-6pm, Centre communautaire de Loisirs Sainte-Catherine d’Alexandrie, 1700 Amherst, Montreal, Quebec H2L 3L5. Queer Between the Covers is organized by a collective of volunteers with the support of QPIRG Concordia. Through this event, we hope to provide access to queer materials that are otherwise unavailable or hard to find in the city, as well as draw attention to the role of queer bookstores in providing community space and supporting queer cultural production.
